Care & Maintenance Tips
Our furniture is finished with a hardwax oil such as Osmo Polyx®, which protects the wood while allowing it to breathe and age naturally.
Routine care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
Clean as needed using a damp (not wet) cloth.
Avoid harsh cleaners, ammonia, or abrasive products.
For deeper cleaning, use a wood soap formulated for hardwax oil finishes, such as Osmo Wash & Care.
Spill protection
Wipe up spills promptly to prevent moisture absorption.
Avoid leaving standing water or wet items on the surface.
Long-term maintenance
Over time, high-use surfaces may benefit from a light refresh.
Apply a thin maintenance coat of Osmo Polyx® Oil or Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner as needed to restore sheen and protection.
Light sanding is typically not required for maintenance coats.
Environmental considerations
Use coasters, placemats, and trivets to protect against heat and moisture.
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight where possible, as natural wood will slowly change color over time.
One of the advantages of an oil finish is that it can be easily renewed and spot-repaired, extending the life of the furniture for decades.
